Ignoring Your Intuition?

Ignore your intuition to your own detriment – take it from me.

Over time, I’ve found that if I listen to my intuition at full volume – and trust in its clarity – it has the power to steer me toward the right business choices faster.

Take one example: I joined a company that recruited me for nine months. Over that long course of vetting, I felt my intuition second-guessing me. Something wasn’t adding up. During meetings, I sensed misalignment among the company’s leadership, which I knew would cause issues down the line.

I turned down that inner voice, hoping I was somehow wrong. 

But unfortunately, it was spot-on and I ended up leaving the position not long after.

A few years later, in another role at a different company, I heard my intuition speak up again: I was spending too much time solving for one versus solving for the needs of the organization. The new role that I’d been looking forward to playing wasn’t playing out at all.

I finally took my own advice: I gave notice, worked through a transition, and set the stage for what came next. 

Looking back, I wish I’d trusted myself sooner because I could have saved time and started building Cresso Collective – a venture I’ve launched to help founders and CEOs of organizations navigate growth, scale, and change with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

This experience reinforced an important truth: full self-awareness is a skill I can’t afford to ignore.

Each time I’ve leaned into my intuition, it’s grown stronger, guiding me toward decisions that match perfectly with my values and goals – drawing me closer to professional and personal fulfillment.

In 2025, my goal is to turn the volume on my intuition all the way up. To stop second-guessing myself and trust the inner guide that’s long since proven its value.

Intuition, if I just let it happen, can be my fastest path forward.
